Development updates

Since Seesmic is in the process of changing their API to a slightly different format, there really is no sense to continue coding against the old API.

While the changes that are needed to adapt to the new API are not all that drastic, I still have a lot of things to sort out with it. And as it is still in a development cycle itself, things might not go as quickly as I (or anyone would like).

For new video notifications I am connecting to the Seesmic Jabber Server. While this has been achieved, I still need to code in the actual user account creation through @SeesmicAIR. I will probably concentrate on getting those bits sorted next. Hopefully, by then, I will be able to catch up quickly to the Seesmic Dev Team.

What does all this mean to you? Probably nothing, but I will release what I have up to now. Are there bugs in it? I am sure there are, but it still does the job. The build to be released does include conversations/threads.

Anyway, I will post it later tonight. When the API switches over (to the new REST) this version will no longer work, but I /should/ have things all sorted by then.
